From Pieve we move to Lomello, the ancient Laumellum, an important Roman settlement, which was an important center as a place of rest and not only exchange cavalli. while we come back in Pavia we can expect a visit to the Castle of Scaldasole All along the route we chance to get closer to heronries, places where nesting species of herons (family Ardeidae) with colonial habits. The heronry is generally made up of a wet forest with marshy terrain, a shrub or a cane. Along our itinerary we find in Frascarolo (Acqualunga) and Lomello.
