It was placed under the jurisdiction of Pavia in 1164 by Emperor Frederick I, without interrupting the local signory of the Counts Palatine, whose family line took the name Nicorvo. In 1250 it appeared as Nicorvium on the list of lands under the dominion of Pavia. James (Giacomo), Thomas (Tommaso) and Manfred (Manfredo) of Nicorvo, the Counts Palatine, were the lords of Nicorvo in 1311. Pietro Gallarati, already signore of Cozzo and Candia Lomellina, was enfeoffed with Nicorvo In 1477. In the following century, the De Colli became the feudal lords before it was passed to the Settala family through marriage, and eventually to the Càrcano. In 1532, Nicorvo was detached from Pavia and became part of the rural hinterland (Contado) of Vigevano, or Vigevanasco, that was built at the time. It was included in the dominions of the House of Savoy in 1743, who had been the owners of the Lomellina for thirty years (when Nicorvo was a borderland).
