The name comes from the Albonese Albogna stream flowing through it "Alboneae meminibus qui rivus ab aqua pluvia…nomen certe inde sumit et vicus ab eadem parte habet cognomen…". The name Albonese appears already written under the imperatoreTraiano (103 AD) in "table Alimentary" bronze, found in Piacenza in 1747 that lists the names of the owners of the possessions that had to guarantee an income sufficient to finance maintenance of the children and was coupled Mede, Cozzo, Zeme, Sartirana etc. and whose owner was M.
